Querry: What do you get with a roomful of MAGA-ites?

Answer: After a short while - nothing, they "cancel" each other out.

This stuff needs to be highlighted on all news networks and all Republicans who back Trump ashamed: "Micki Larson-Olson, a QAnon supporter who said she considers Trump the 'real president,' was convicted last year of unlawful entry on Capitol grounds. On Thursday night, she met Trump for the first time at the Red Arrow Diner in Manchester…Larson-Olson said she believes that the members of Congress who voted to certify Biden's presidential election should be executed. “The punishment for treason is death, per the Constitution,” Larson-Olson said. “I believe every single person, every single person that stole a voice from our collective voice of 'We the people, of the people, for the people, by the people,' deserves death, and no less than that.”Larson-Olson added that she “would like a front seat of Mike Pence being executed" and that he should be the "No. 1" person on her list of those who committed treason." How can anyone not be stunned by this insanity?

What caught me by surprise was someone, anyone giving a single f#€k about what Sean Spicer thinks.

Remember when the Dixie Chicks got canceled for criticizing the Iraq war? Right-wingers threatened radio DJs who played their music. They got DJs fired for playing them. Concert venues got death threats. Cancel culture is horrible no matter which side it is on, but being canceled by the right is usually much more violent, especially for women. One example is Jessica Valenti, a US journalist and writer who had threats directed at her daughter. She also had her address, tax information, and other personal data released. "In order for women to fully participate in life we need to be in these spaces. Often times, especially if you’re a writer, it’s almost informally required. To tell women to just not be there is absurd...Knowing what I know now I don’t know if I would have chosen to write under my real name. I think I would have not have. The abuse doesn’t just impact me, it impacts my family. On a really bad day when I’ve gotten a lot of threats it’s not like I can just go to the police and report it. I can’t get out of bed, I’m devastated and my husband has to take care of me. It has a ripple effect that goes beyond your Twitter account."

Just listened to the pod. Will (is he really a Democrat?) says finally Dems are explaining the difference between negotiating on the debt ceiling vs the budget. I don't get this. Dems--especially Joe Biden--have been very clear on this. It's the media that has conflated the two, over and over. I listened to The Daily this morning, and had to wonder if the reporter had come to the NYT from Kevin McCarthy's staff, she was so bought into his frame.

This cancel culture crap is so stupid. The Republican party is so desperate that they do not have a real plan on how to defeat the Democrats. The normal American moderate voters don't give a sh..t about the so-called wokeness crowd.

RE: Micki Larson-Olson

Skid Mark in a Suit embraces Head Case in a Costume at a diner...

Just another day in MAGA World.

But smart move by the She-Shamon sans Horns, getting herself squeezed by the Head Guy himself, since she's so desirous of front and center seating at the forthcoming VP Gallows Gala.

Good connections are so important for the lesser lights if they want a chance at decent tickets to star-studded celebrity events.

These people get more bat-shit crazy by the day. They want to stifle everyone who does not agree with their hateful ideas. They hate diversity, equality and inclusion. They despise the "left-wing" agenda which provides them with a social safety net. Those evil lefties want people to have affordable health care, enough food to eat and a living wage. How radical!!

I sincerely hope there are enough decent Americans who will reject this insanity and hatred. There were the 81 million of us who voted to excise the scourge that is Donald Trump. Let's hope there are even more the next time around. Personally I will be doing my best to give business to these "woke" companies.

The asshole excuse they call their governor in Texas, should be wheeled from office. His comments, though not surprising, are fitting and on a par with those armed and armored first responders who stood outside the classroom in Uvalde while those babies and teachers were being slaughtered. If all these undesirable's kill themselves, the state's problems will be solved. Of course, then who would do the real work in the state? Or change his pants when he wets himself?

What's an example of batshit propaganda? Apparently, 1792 Exchange (https://1792exchange.com/):

"1792 Exchange is a resource and alliance of likeminded (SIC) organizations and leaders that guarantees all viewpoints have a seat at the cultural table."

*Unless, of course, you or your organization dares speak heresy against their sacred screed.

"We bring together natural allies of First Amendment freedoms into a united movement."

*Apparently, minor historical U.S. characters (such as Washington, Adams, Jefferson, & Lincoln) would not be considered "natural allies of First Amendment freedoms" by 1792 Exchange, which title hearkens not to the adoption of our U.S. Constitution but to the date attributed to the formation of the first U.S. stock exchange.

**After all, what is more important: the constitutional basis for government or uninhibited wealth through stock and bond manipulation? "Woke corporations", "ESG", and the "religion of social justice" are inimical to "faith-based and conservative organizations".

Of course 1792 Exchange identifies corporate enemies, Charlie. If a company dares use its Free Speech right to support or advocate for (two different things, I thought) for an as-yet un-passed legislative act introduced in 2019, BAN IT!!! I was planning to fly on Alaska Airlines when I travel to Milwaukee from Richmond, BUT NOT NOW! (How DARE a company support Black Lives Matter? Doesn't while life matter, too??) The Ford Company? (I guess it's good that I own and drive a Tacoma instead of a WOKE F-150!)

Wait a minute - didn't the U.S. Supreme Court say something about corporations and the First Amendment? All of my left-leaning friends and colleagues have been gagging on something they called "Citizens United" since 2010.

Between defunding and cancelling and dangling the US economy over the cliff, it’s hard to see how Republicans have any time to govern. Oh, right, forgot. That’s not why they took the job.

Charlie's quote of DeSantis makes the governor sound like a 14 year old with his inappropriate use of the word "like". Pathetic.

US Constitution, Article 1, Section 9, clause 3: No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed. What Desantis is doing with Disney appears to be a direct violation of the Bill of Attainder prohibition

MAGA cultists and the politicians who feed on them are more frightened of life than puppies are of thunderclaps. For a cult that brags about how "tough" they are, to see them melt down at the sight of a drag queen makes me laugh out loud.

re: The Right Goes All In

It is important to remember that, as the Trumpettes "fight the good fight," consistency has *never* been a concern of what they profess. In fact, it seems obvious to anyone not wearing a blindfold that hypocrisy, projection and ad hominem attacks are all they have in their arsenal of argumentation. As has been pointed out, in this piece and myriad others, they will decry any attempts to silence those on their side, just try to contradict an opinion that they believe and you cease to exist immediately. Cancel? More like extermination is their goal.

Yes, the Left cancels those they think aren't fighting hard enough, too. Being a moderate or centrist Dem will get you ignored or canceled - as those on the Right proclaim happens to them - but it is a practice loved by both sides (and this is not bothsideserism, it is a truism). The PseudoRepubs, PseudoCons and RINOs have learned the lesson taught by the radical Left well: "You agreed with me yesterday but not today, that makes you one of them and you are no longer welcome on our side."

Politics used to be called the art of compromise, but now it is the art of compulsion.

Yeah, man, that Republican Party is pro-business alright. Also - if corporations are people remember that?), then isn’t DeSantis violating the First Amendment? Can we prosecute him for that? Oh silly me, it’s only the second amendment that’s important. (Bannon sure has them flooding the zone with shit.)
