Listening to Nick Confessore this morning I kept thinking of Tim Miller’s ‘Whey we did it’ and the section in his book where he documents the characteristics of the ‘Strivers’, leading with exhibit A, Elise Stefanik. Pages 154 - 165 are essential reading and Nick’s latest reporting confirms all that Tim wrote last year.

Charlie, check out what Mary Trump said today (Thursday): "We never had this kind of chaos when I was speaker. - George Santos"

I'd like to see the Democrats recruit 6 Republicans and elect Liz Cheney as the new speaker.

I may throw up! CNN just zeroed in on Santos sitting next to Greene looking very chummy! Two people who shouldn't be near Congress. Sickening!

It still amazes me that Trump can criticize a piece of legislation in the most extreme terms without being asked for specifics. My guess is that he has no clue what is in the Reconciliation bill. He just knows it is another Biden accomplishment.

The republican that believed in across the aisle work remains in the senate but is almost gone in the house, so we see it rather differently. Don't forget how many of the McCarthy group would not accept the results of the election. Of the ones who voted to impeach, only two survived. Cheney lost her career to the crazies and McCarthy saw to it that she did.

LOL! Some nitwit R just nominated Kevin with the words "He has been our leader for the last 4 years." He misspoke - that was Donald the Trump.

Lauren Boebert is,sadly, my congressperson and I am still falling on the floor laughing at the “offered to teach Lauren Boebert how to read” line. She’s an embarrassment! And I’m no Democrat!

Two years since the insurrection. TWO YEARS!!! DOJ just not stepping up to prosecute? Waiting for the Jan 6 committee to send their referrals? That's done already! Some low level insurrection participants participants have been arrested. As far as I know, ZERO insurrection leaders have been arrested. INSURRECTION! Some of them still serve in Congress!! They interfere with governing. How do we not see or have movement to enforce the laws of the land? HOW!?

Then the Mara Lago documents disaster. How has no one been held accountable in that yet?

I think I'll turn to a life of crime. Why not? Treason doesn't get prosecuted. Theft of highly classified documents doesn't get prosecuted? Why should I worry about burglary or bank robbery, shoplifting, etc.?

Thanks Bulwark, I've been with you from the beginning. I was a true hard core conservative until Trump arrived. I saw him as bad news from the beginning. Everything and I mean everything that was forecast about Trump from Bulwark from the beginning has come to pass. It is just unbelievable the links politicians will go through to gain even one ounce of power. Once you sell your soul to the devil it is assured he will come for his payment. Now, the Republicans will pay for five years of having no conscience for their deeds. At least now the fall is not that great. They are getting closer to the bottom of the pit.

I think it's clear now that McCarthy won't ever get to 218. Other than not letting the Insurrection caucus win, what's the reason to keep voting for McCarthy? It's like the baseball writers who are voting for A-Rod & Manny Ramirez; if Bonds & Clemens couldn't make it, why throw away your vote on these PED users? McCarthy is done.

And there's no change - 20 still voted against McCarthy. No movement. So all his licking their boots (or other parts) has failed. CNN is talking about what the 20 want. And their opinion seems to be nobody knows. Question for those who know more. How many would have to vote present or not show up for Jeffries to win?

Nick Fuentes is voluntarily celibate? That’s like the guy who gets rejected by a woman then says “Well, you’re ugly anyway.” I highly doubt that he has an empty bed by choice.
