The warning from the Lithuanian president is just one more sign that the world we have known has been transformed in the last two weeks. The Germans and the Danes (!) are arming; Poland is home to more than a million refugees. And even with all of his frustrations, Putin continues his campaign of annihilation.

Images of Russian war crimes will accelerate the destruction of the illusion of a stable — and moral— world order.
